EG Civic carpet in EF civic interior ?
I was wondering if an EG Civic carpet would fit inside an EF Civic interior ?
I wanna know so maybe I can order a new OEM EG civic carpet since ef's are discontinued.
Here's an OEM EG civic carpet

OEM carpets as well as any other carpet for late model Honda's are molded. Therefore it probably won't be a direct fit/will require trimming and the end result may end up looking worse than a properly fitting OEM carpet. Honestly, if you're going to go through the hassle of attempting to fit a carpet that doesn't fit, you might as well go with a brand new aftermarket carpet molded specifically for a CRX. I believe a few CRX/EF members on this board are running aftermarket carpets

I want a civic hatch not crx carpet.
The EG one looks very very similiar.
Anyone have a pic of a civic EF carpet out ?
I wanna line everything up.

lol, buy an aftermarket Civic hatch carpet then
. Same concept.
I know Vega_ROCKS tried fitting an EK carpet in his hatch a while back and it didn't look like it fit well at all. Give him a PM.

Dude, just read my first post. The largest problem in attempting to fit a carpet form Honda model A to Honda model B is the fact that the carpet is molded for the car it's originally intended for. Which is why I said you're better off spending less on a carpet molded for your car that's aftermarket.
Don't get me wrong, it can be done, but will a cut molded carpet for another car fit as cleanly as a carpet molded for your car? I'm done with this thread, lol.
Hell, if you're going to start swapping carpets in from other cars, look into getting a BMW carpet. I hear they're good quality

Evidently, no one here has tried it so it is probably best if you give it a shot and find out for yourself. The worst that can happen is that it doesnt work and you'll be down ~40 bucks (the junkyard is your your friend). Good luck and let us know what the results are
Well thinking of it logically since eg seats dont bolt right into an ef the holes in the carpet for the seat rails will probably be different. Also looks like the eg has a whole cut out for the foot rest while the ef doesnt. Why not just buy a used eg carpet and see if it fits before buying a new one? You can find a used one for like $40 on local forums?
speaking of buy molded carpets and one ever buy one? how are they? do you need to cut holes in it, and what about the plastic moldings that clip onto the factory carpet and onto the rocker panel area.
Buy a fitted aftermarket on. Will fit a hell of alot better then an EG into an EF. The shell is physically wider I know that and the carpet follows suit. I don't know about length.

Holy cow Rob. Just get an aftermarket peice that is guaranteed to fit.
You wont be able to tell the difference. It will be just like your original
paint on your CRX.
OR, order from a Honda dealership here in the states.

I just ordered a carpet for my sedan from the link Rockin posted above. I will most likely do a write up on the install and fit for everyone.
