Default Skunk2 Stage 2 vs Skunk2 Pro 1

Would Sk2 Pro1 be overkill for my setup?
Would Sk2 Stg2 be better? Or Sk2 Pro1.

My setup is LSV in an 00 itr

well i don't have much to say as far a sk2 stg2 as i have never used them, but i have used pro1's in my lsv. which made for a real nice powerband, and probably will for a b20, but depending on goals and budget i do pro2's in a b20. i'm using a set in my b20 and i love 'em.

Properly dialed in the Pro 1's should work very well for you.

b19 might chime in to confirm but he primaries on the pro1's are bigger, the vtec lobes are almost the same.

While the Pro1 and Stage 2 have SIMILAR advertised numbers, I am pretty sure the Pro cams have a more agressive ramp angle.

A couple years ago Tbone compared the two cams on a dyno and said that the pro cams made a lot more power before VTEC than the S2S2's and made just slightly more after VTEC engagement.

thx guys.. I am assuming Pro1s and Stg2 are similar but Pro1 will be me a better outcome so I'll most likely try to get the Pro1s.

1 more Q is it Daily Drivable? As in last pretty good long lasting/reliable, and not gas killer and oil burner.

stick with the stage 2 cams...they work well with that kind of compression ratio in your motor. what kind of whp are you looking to put down??

build the induction/exhaust system around the camshaft choice, and dont be too hung up compression/disaplcement.

Use yer noggin! You cant expect to be handed all the good info in life. The saying about teaching a man to fish is completely true. If I can help a few people to really understand how to select parts that compliment each other, all of a sudden a whole other world opens to them.

For a GSR engine with 11.5:1 Compression which cam do you think is better suited for a daily-driver??

stage 2's will be best for DD since idle wont be compromised when compared to the pro series
