Ok. so i cant find it. the car was idlin when it snapped and i am gonna look at my college tomorrow where it popped. its a tech school and it might be in the shop but my question is. would this make the water pump wobble? it was wobblin like crazy when i started it and then noticed the key was missing
Sounds like the bushings in your waterpump went bad, and was probly the cause of the timing belt to snap.
Grab the water pump pulley firmly and try to wobble it if it does wobble then you need a new one.
Go to the dealer and grab yourself a new key, they are around 18$. Ive lost the key before.
Put the key in, timing belt and wp, before you slap it all back together turn the engine 4 full revolutions and make sure your timing marks are still lined up. And do a compression check to make sure you didnt mess anything up.
