Default Hytech Header ground clearance...

I did a search and didn't found...

I'm looking for pic of a dc2 with a Hytech header...a real one... I need to know the clearance under... How low does it get?

Any experience or pic will be appreciated!

Anyone with the Hytech Header...what is the ground clearance like? Is it much better than DC 4-1 ?

Low.. way low..
i have a 3'' drop and the header clears very well it fits snug and tight, and yes.. i do have a real 2.0 liter hytech header on my R.
drive carefully you wont have a problem.. but if i had to guess i'd say 9~11inches from the ground where the header meets the oil pan.

wonder if the hytech production's ground clearance is any different from the real one pictured above? i'm going to guess its a little better because its not a big tube. probably still has way better clearance than the dc jdm 4-1 or the jdm itr 4-1...

the reason you have a problem is cause you have a 1.8L header on a shorter deckheight b16 .. i have a hytech custom on my gsr and ground clearance is about the same as a jdm itr

The Honda OEM JDM ITR 4-1 has better ground clearance (by far) than any of the above. I have a picture of it on my jig somewhere, but I can't find it right now.

damn! thats exactly whats going to happen if i bought one and put it on my gs-r. my car is twice as low as that too. in reality, its probably just as low as the dc jdm 4-1. i guess it really doesn't have good ground clearance, unless you're at stock height or lowered with springs

HAH, yea, the car used to be lower when i first put it on. the point its at now i dont really hit the ground unless its a big bump or pot hole. i have the header being repaired right now, but i'm switchin to a TODA. i want my ground clearance back

that looks just as low as the dc jdm 4-1...
how is it possible that it has "good ground clearance"...?

Man...I really want this header for my build but I'm scared of the ground clearance. My 4-1 style header is smashed and I don' want this to happen with the Hytech Replica.

the hytech replica sit higher than the jdm 4-1 header by an 3/4 of an inch

problem with fitting any good header on a DA/EF is that the motors sit lower in the bay so unless you have stock or something like an RMF with the collector positioned before the downturn under the motor, we are not going to have very good clearance. and worse is that before we can even run any decent header we have to ditch the stock crossmember. ah but DAs just rock. so F it.
