Default 92-95 EG Projector Headlights

Hey fellas,

I've been thinking about replacing my stock headlights with jdm corners for a 1 piece projector headlight unit (with dual ring angel eyes). I've heard alot of crap about making sure you dont buy the ebay ones but can someone actually tell me what brand, make or model would be the best buy? (cosmetically/quality wise) If so, where i can buy these online? Thanks

It doesn't fall into your dual ring angel eye category, but TYC makes a very nice 1 piece projector headlight for the 92-95 Civic.

I just noticed that TYC is offering 1-piece projectors with HID already installed:

I like those but i really like my amber corners. Know where i can get some HID that will let me keep my amber corners?

There really isn't anything available other than an OEM retrofit that will provide the type of light output that proper HID setup will provide. As far as cost and ease of installation is concerned, the lights that Patrick linked above would be your best bet.

Harness adapters are included. No need to worry. I ran Jaguar Eye for a while. Hated them. Even with Catz bulbs in the projectors, my factory lamps with Piaa bulbs were better.

If I was OP, these would be my only option for one piece headlights.
I've been tryna get a cutoff/output pictures of those lights.
Thought about these before I started working on retros.
What kept me away other than being a one piece, D1S replacement costs = $$$

No 92-95 headlight other than the one PatrickGSR94 posted comes equipped with HIDs off the shelf. You could always do a retrofit though.

That's because those most likely used H3 bulbs for the main projector headlights. H3's are made for foglights with a short, wide dispersal pattern and are VERY poor for main headlight use.

You can get retrofit packages for reasonable prices from HIDplanet.com

^ Denji's ok for a retrofit.
You'll still have to grind out a lot of meat on the back(of housing). Also, you get to keep halogen high-beams if retrofitting single xenon projector (low beam only) and ofcourse, your corners.
You can find them cheaper in the classified section.

are you saying to remove the projector in there and replace with an OEM unit? or will that current project handle a PnP kit?

If you want to retrofit you have to remove the worthless existing projectors or "fog projectors" like PatrickGSR94 said earlier and replace them with your choice of xenon projectors.

Just say NO to pnp kits

how will those projectors perform? A PnP wont work well? i have tried seraching this but have not come up with much. i have seen a thread on a red eg (i think) that used the tyc one piece with a PnP and he received decent results.
i cant afford HIDs, and idk if i feel like doing the retrofit myself. what other alternatives than?

The Denji ones use a foglight projector with H3 foglight bulbs. Beam pattern is extremely horrible with halogen H3 bulbs, and a PnP HID kit for H3 applications is not going to be much better, and in fact might even be worse.

However, the fact that it has a projector in it, and already has the outer shroud for a projector, makes it a good platform for retrofitting in an HID projector, although in this case I think you'll need a pretty compact projector.

The TYC 1-piece projectors use something better than H3's I believe, but I'm still not sure how good it is.

PnP kits are junk in factory Integra 9006 projectors, so I wouldn't expect them to be very good even in the TYC's halogen projectors.

any alternative to better lighting then? i dont want to be blinding other drivers, thats just not cool. im not sure what i can do (since i do not have money for a retrofit) for improved visibility.

Try Philips X-Treme Power or Osram Night Breaker for H4 bulbs.
They supposed to be the brightest halogen bulbs out.
Better, brighter, and cheaper than a PNP kit.
Good luck

alright so those bulbs would be used for the projector. how about for stock headlights? right now i am leaning towards a 4300k PnP kit. I have seen pictures and the light is not scattered. looks like the stock beam pattern, just with white light. but then again i get conflicting views, pictures look good but a lot of people say to stay away from them.

The bulbs I offered are for your stock or aftermarket REFLECTOR housing. Not projectors.
They'll put more light where you need than the PNP kit. TRUST!!

im thinking thats what im gonna do until i can afford the retrofi components. i know i will be able to do it when money becomes available. i will plan on taking before and after shots to give others an idea on how the bulbs work.

As much as i hate them now, back in the day i had these on a eg and the light output was very good. Cutoff was nice and installation was also easy. Other than those i would recommend the Denji projectors with your stock/amber corners.
