Default 11.3:1 - 11.6:1 safe on 91 octane

would a 11.3:1 - 11.6:1 compression ratio be safe to run on 91 octane if tuned properly?

11.3 = 3 layer head gasket
11.6 = 2 layer head gasket

that 2 layer, do you plan on using an oem 3 layer with 1 layer removed? I've gone through 2 of those, they did not hold up for me on the road courses.

With good tuning you could go up to 12.1 but your going to have those days where someone's knocking at your door.

I don't know how well it will do on the sniffer when smog time comes, but I would think you should be ok. You guys know stock Celica GTS engines run 11.5:1, right? So yeah, its possible on 91 octane.
