02 RSX type S: seats were removed now SRS light is on, how do i reset it?
just as the topic says, i know about the paperclip trick however it says that it will not work if the srs was tripped from the seats being removed. anyone know a way that will get this done without going to the dealer?
thanks in advance!

You can't reset it because the srs plugs are still unplugged. You'll just have to take out the bulb, put tape over it or just roll with it on.

or put 2- 2 ohm resistor into the plugs and fool the srs by closing the loop.
here's how to reset it:

that's wack then lol, because it wouldn't reset when I had my Speeds and Sparco wheel. Wait, are we on the same page? Are we talking about putting them back in and then resetting? If so then yes it will work. But running an aftermarket setup it didn't.

It does work if you put 2-2ohm resistors into the srs plugs. It closes the loop for the srs and then you reset it.

Re: (flipsyde)
I don't understand why you guys need to do that. I've taken my seat out plenty of times at the track and when i put it back in the light always went away once the seat was back in. Try and make sure you have everything plugged in properly, and make sure you plug the srs clips in with the car turned off.

Re: (Davanca)
Timing is the *key* to getting that trick to work correctly. Quoted from the other forum:
"When the light shuts off the first time, pull out the pin right away, you only have a couple of seconds to do it. When it comes back on again, right away put it back in. When it goes off again, pull it out right away, it should flash once, you're done."
I'll add this thread to the FAQ.

I tried the paper clip 6 times but each time it flashes twice at the end and comes back on 2 seconds later and stays on....my SRS module is fine. I went through all the steps, everything worked until the last step.
ANY IDEAS
I have a EK hatch

An EK hatch might be/probably is a different procedure. Try asking in that forum.
