Default In-car from Hyperfest 2007, #117 H1 Prelude

http://video.google.com/videop...30806

First time for me at Summit Poinnt. Had the wrong gearing. LSD needs a rebuild. Have less power than last year. Oil pressure gauge broke. Wrong tire size for these gears. Track was slippery. etc. I have more excuses. I did turn a 1:25 in about lap 4 or so.

I had a pretty slow first lap, but had a fun battle with John Oldt starting at 6:00. I was beat by John (white S2000), Scot (yellow S2000), Pete (Yellow Civic), Chris (Red Civic), and Kevin Helms on his backup motor in his White Civic.

Anyhow, enjoy!

-Chris

It was mostly fun except for the time I found myself staring at the oil pressure gauge reading zero at the end of the front straight! I have no idea what's up so I killed it and pulled off. It was only practice. Turns out the gauge sender broke. I put tape over the gauge so I didn't have to look at it anymore.

I had one other off in qualifying Sunday, in braking at the end of the straight. Oops.

Good to see some real racing, props man. Nice! Any other setbacks, or mostly just went along like any other track day?

No big issues this time, just put oil and gas in the car and it was fine My dipstick wanted to pop out so I squeezed the dipstick tube a bit to make it more square, now it's not loose any more.

WOW!!! I for some reason was thinking it was a 5th gen, but it's a 4th gen... That looks great, glad to see it out there running with the "bigger and badder" Honda's.

Shizzle at the Hizzle my nizzle!!

Was good to see you again Chris, get that car ready to kick some *** at Mid-Ohio in Sept. HC should have preludes in H1,H2, & H4. Clean sweep?

Those guys amazed me in how fast they removed the blown engine, getting a good block and good head together, then removing the tranny, alternator, distributor, IM, ect... from the blown engine and sticking it on the newly placed together engine. Then swapping it back into his race car. They did this in a matter of hours and had the car ready for qualifying and he qualified on pole!

Sick in the head, I tell you, the lot of those guys.

Just kidding. It was pretty awesome though, I couldn't even bear to watch.

Hopefully I'll find my last 2 seconds at Mid-Ohio in August and be prepared to whoop *** in September.

Nice seeing you again Walt!

Great driving this weekend, Chris! (nice finally meeting you as well!) Now go put a new final drive in your good transmission (with the Euro-R gears) & go kick some butt!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Chris F &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> I did turn a 1:25 in about lap 4 or so.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Way to make me feel slow I couldn't get below a very, very high 1:31
But at least I have a good excuse... the weight (2860 with me in it), the lack of power (high 180's), the crappy final drive, & my shitty driving (still not enough ***** through turn 3 & the shoot)

Still, great driving for your first time to Summit Point!

Nice meeting you Chris! Yeah, hopefully I'll be 50 lbs lighter and have that final drive figured out by August/September.

Turn 3, chute, and turn 10 are scary turns to take fast.

I remember when I tried to take the chute fast. You get that light feeling in your stomach as you think to yourself, "Ooooooooooooooh shyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyt!!!

I am planning to go to Summit Point again in Sept. Can't wait!
