Default leaky injector

Bought a 86 crx si from a buddy and one of the injectors is peeing all over.. He replaced the seal last week but didnt drive it very much, i got the car today and after about 2 hours of interstate driving i started to smell gas. could it be something else besides the o rings..

I made it home safely and stashed the car in the garage, got another injector seal kit, gonna try to replace it again in the morning.

Ok, I had this same problem acouple months ago. I think you might be able to search and find where I was asking others for help. Your problem is still probably your injectors. It is very easy to pinch them which will cause them to leak. The best thing to do is put alittle oil on them. I done this by dipping my finger in a cup of oil then just coating the rings. This will help them slide on the injectors and hopefully they will not pinch as easily. Other than that I cannot think of anything else to help you.

Oh by the way, alittle work and that could be one ccccllllleeeeaaaannnn 1st gen. Good luck.

OK, the little black "doohicky" is a screen. You can buy some of those seperate. I wouldnt go without one though because it filters debri thats in your fuel. In the thrid picture the little boot that is broke is fine, its only there to take the damage if you drop one.

By the looks of the pictures the reason for the leak is your orings. They look pretty bad...I would just buy a new oring kit and make sure to lube them with some oil. The best price I could find was on advanceautoparts.com ...I had it shipped to my house.

don't use oil as it could cause the orings to swell or become deformed. i always use dialectric grease and no problems. make sure you lube everything up before assembly as the new orings could easily tear or rip and then they will leak again.

replace the missing filter. Using oil should not deform them untill they are removed from the rail. Once you remove them next time, they will have streached and cause a new leak if you try to re-use.
service packs replacing all the components including your missing filter are on ebay.
