I thought I read a thread on this before.. But I thought the JDM trannys had different gear boxes or something as to where the JDM OEM LSD wouldn't fit into a USDM Tranny.. :?

People in the past have said it doesn't fit.....though I have an m2f4, and it has a jdm (lol) lsd in it.
They may have modified the case to get it in, I didn't do the install, I just bought it off someone as-is.

because i bought a m two y four for five hundred
the guy who bought it had plans to put it in his prelude but ended up parting it out instead and bought a different car
i got the receipts and he paid eleven hundred for it
its mint condition and for five hundred i wasnt going to pass it up especially when my second gear is shot
this really sucks if i cant put an oem lsd in it
do the quaifes fit?

an oem jdm h22 lsd, WILL NOT fit into a non lsd case. measuring from bearing to bearing the lsd is either wider or narrower
so, if you want an oem jdm h22 lsd you will need the case to go along w/ it.
a quaife lsd WILL work w/ the non lsd case. but not w/ the jdm lsd case or jdm lsd ring gear.
so, if you want to run a quaife lsd, you will need the non lsd case and non lsd ring gear.
this is fact

the euro r lsd in your pics is nothing like a jdm h22 lsd. the oem jdm h22 lsd will not work in a non lsd case.
it looks like the euro r uses gears, while the jdm h22 lsd uses a clutch pack.

You are correct, the Euro-R LSD is a torsen type; no clutch packs. The point was that an OEM LSD does work in an M2Y4 case, and I believe an Accord Euro-R is a JDM model, correct?

im not familiar w/ the euro r trans at all. but i am very familiar w/ usdm and jdm h22 transmissions.
to use a jdm h22 lsd you will need the case that it came in. it will not work in a non-lsd case.
the quaife lsd will not work in the jdm h22 lsd case because it was designed for a non-lsd case. the ring gears are also very different. the jdm h22 lsd ring gear uses more bolts.
the jdm h22 lsd is either wider or narrower (cant remember) than the oem open diff.
