Everything that pulls up next to me wants to race....
maybe its the color... maybe its the plate..

Only seen 2 try to race me. Had a empty highway on one, so I gladly showed him the difference between the Si and TC. The other one was on a side street known for cops. I said the hell with him.

What is even better, I have had a few Focus's rev at me. One had a few modifications, and the other was completely stock. Both a waste of time. I laughed at the guy in the stock Focus.

 

So far I've only had 2 modified Focus' (I/E at least) and one RSX Type-S (E at least) do the ricer mating call, and none have been answered. There have been quite a few older Si's showing off, but not asking for a race.

 

Anyone that is trying to rev up on an SI in a stock TC has got to be completely out of his mind. The 162 ftlbs of tq might help them off the launch (not much considering SI's have LSD) , but as soon as you hit vtec its all over. Its called people not knowing **** about their car or any other car for that matter, but HT helps them not be so dumb. I know its helped me

 

Thats the image with this car SI means peformance so poeple are going to test us i am always waiting for someone to rev on me i expect it to happen.

 

no TCs for me..but i have had a RSX Type-S and some old car with a bunch of these white chicks (no offense to anyone =])..it was fun with the RSX..but the car full of those chicks made me laugh...but the best one was this other Si i saw on the interstate..how fun

For some reason my car seems to attract 350z'. I've raced a few on the highway and of course they are faster but they never pull away. I'd be pissed if I spent 35k on a car and it can't out run a civic si. Of course it could be that they were too scared to really go fast. I was surprised how much top end speed my car had.

 

omg just today i am setting at 2 lane red light..... this time an older mustang i'd say low 90's pulls up with like 21 inch rims comes up to me and revv'sss revvss his engine really high (6000 top cause thats all their engines can handle) so im fed up with this rice crap constantly. i rev up to 3500 and take off ..... im like wow that thing must be slow.......... he staled..... i laughed sooooooo hard.

ROBERTS TIP OF THE DAY......... learn how to drive stick shift before you race other cars at the red lights people! and i have endless stories about teenagers with their TC's.... my lord.... good looking car but enough is enough.

Oh noes! Only 6000rpm? You mean it's not a 8500 rpm 139ftlbs screamer?

Wheels were a bad choice, but revs mean **** when you have big displacement under your hood. A lot of Mustangs can handle more than 6000 rpm, fyi, just makin sure you have knowledge to back up your prejudice

I havent got reved on yet as well but ive reved on other people its hard to resist everytime i see a civic or a integra at a light i will do it its fun.

No one revs to me, but a lot of people talk **** to me. This guy at work with a TC was talkin crap and I told him flat out. "Your stock 150ish hp aren't going to touch me, so drop it..."

x2 - Had a couple of these as well. Except one was on a huge and empty multiple curve road. I had only had the car for a few days. I could tell he had modifications and different rim/tires combo than stock. I actually got the best of him. Driver error is a bitch. I guess money can't by driving skills.

The second one (on the highway) pulled away from me too. Couldn't really tell how far because shortly after he started to pull a couple car lengths, I let off. I think he let off at the same time I did because we stayed the same distance apart.

Yeah, I would be pissed too about spending 35k on a car like that with that kind of results. It should do 10-11 seconds in a quarter for me to want to spend that much.

 

tC = total Crap
I raced one once when i first got my HRP on the expressway. cruising at 60ish in 6th he pulled up next to me and kept antagonizing me. i dropped into 4th and shut down at the top of 4th...what a waste of gas

 

The gearing on the TC is what kills them. The damn thing is a Camry engine which is bad to start, but the torque is good, but the gearing isn't taken advantage of, it makes it slow and awkard and you run out of gears fast on the highway.
