Just Detailed A 1999 Porsche Carrera
So I'm slowly but surely starting my Socal based Detailing business...
This weekend's detail, The 1999 Porsche Carrera

Now, to the average person this may seem like a clean car, but up close, it needs some work...
just take a look at the swirls on the paint finish, owning a black car is a nightmare when the swirls show up...

Now it's time for me to find the best formula to repair these swirls...
so I blocked off a section of the original finish and buffed out an adjacent area

Hmmm, not bad

Now, onto the bling....
These 19" Lexani Roma IIs are already clean, but they're not 100%, just look at the finish on the lip, it needs to be conditioned for that mirror finish

Cleaned, but needs more..

THERE....

Little engine space to work with, but I can clean it...

One side is done with the polish...

Getting to the other side...

There's my Mustang again

like everyone else so far said.. hate the wheels..
but great job on the detailing
care to share any details on the swirl mark removal?
did you wetsand first (im guessing with a 2000 or 2500 grit?) or just buff?
what types/brand of compound did you use? what type of buffer do you use?
i hate swirlmarks.. IMO they can ruin an otherwise perfect paint job. I'm a fan of 3m's products for buffing, but im always looking for new stuff to try out

3M products are good, as long as they are clear coat safe, many people prefer Perfect-It II
However, I ONLY use Meguiar's Products with all my work.
This Porsche took 8 hours. No wetsanding is ever used since it is much too abrasive for swirl mark removal.
You can see more of my work here....
