Default problem with my springs.

ok. so i put the front springs on my car. not a problem. didnt get a chance to start on the back springs cuz it got way too dark. so i take it for a drive around the block to make sure i dont hear anything funny. when i was turning i heard a weird sound. i take it back to the drive way and look at the spring while turning the wheel and the spring was turning also as i turned the wheel making a ******* nasty sound. does anyone know what i could have done wrong or anything i should check for???

Might be your CV's knocking from dropping the hub too quickly. It might also be that the springs aren't sitting on the perch correctly, and are making a cracking noise.

Chances are you assembled the front strut incorrectly at the top. Take them back off and make sure. Usually just lowering springs don't cause noises unless you assemble them wrong.

damn, welcome to my nightmare. my coilovers have been doing this forever. turns out i need an adapter bearing to go onto my stock mounts that are made out of plastic or something. this **** is weak.

sounds like your upper mounts arent on there right. and make sure the ***** inside the bearing race didnt fall out...the very first time i lowered my car i backed my car out just to see a whole bunch of grease covered ***** in my driveway. live and learn..

I just put stock springs back on my 01 Civic. I am having a similar problem it sounds like. When I turn the wheel, I am hearing a popping noise from both sides. I will take a better look at it tomorrow.

Sounds like your top mount bearings.

I had a whole world of problems with this too... I'd say Sean DM might be right on this one.

I have a 03 ex and had the same problem.I replaced the bearing perches and still it did.then I procrastinated and then just realized three day's ago that it was gone.
I'm thinking they settled.
