Default Junk yard Track DC2...

Well a bunch of you told me i was crazy when i posted up that i planed to build up a track DC2 out of junk parts..
I have just one thing to say....

Parts list...
*One door off of a black gsr one off of a white both had been on their roof.
*left rear 1/4 is the left over from the cone when it had been hit and both 1/4 had to be replaced.
*The rear suspension and sub frame is off of one of those ipoters that cuts cars in half to bring them in the country for the 5 lug.
*the tub is a gsr with a ls/rs roof i got from a junk yard.
*the suspension i have collected over the years one piece at a time.
*the engine is just a stock gsr now with a S80 lsd trans." i needed a low hp motor to test out the chassis before i put in a 2.0l B18C5.
*I have not put the cage in yet but the car weighs in at 2235 now with a half load of fuel.
*Corner balanced at 50.2 cross so it looks good so far. i am taking the car to TWS this weekend to run my last hpde for my Nasa comp lic so...
I have recepts on the whole car and the total is.....
$2988.16 Now if i factor in labor... 10k... lol

Thats awesome man. I wish I could have finished my shell that cheap. Anyhow, will they let you on a track with no rear glass?

I always assumed if a car couldn't pass state safety inspection it wouldnt be allowed on a track.

Are you going to the NASA event at TWS this weekend? I'm not going as I'm still repairing my Prelude from when your buddy in the vette blew the standing start at Hallett.

I think your job is more conducive to working on cars than mine.
Your boss/buddy/whatever didn't go for several seconds after the green flag was waved. The car on my right of me turned sharply to the left to avoid him and hit me instead.
