Default SKUNK 2 THROTTLE BODY FAILURE!!!!!!PIXX PIXX

Ok i have a fully built ls/vtec i was just finishing the build with my mechanic here in florida HPC in ft lauderdale area. So we were putting on a 66MM skunk2 pro series throttle body (thought it would be the final touch). So we drive the car to the dyno everything went fine. My mechanic and I put the car on the dyno turn the engine on,and clak, clak, was coming from the engine loud as ****. So we immediatly shut the engine down. We immediatly did a compression test cylinder 2 was down we knew it wasnt good '0' compression! So we pulled the head off and we discovered a screw of some sort imbeded into my b16 head!! It looks like someone shot it with a gun 3 times lol it was crazy. The screw came loose from the butterfly flap inside the carb. The engine obviously sucked down the screw the results were 4 bent omni valves, one messed up piston, a head that needs re-machining. And one pissed off customer. BTW the engine had about 15 miles on it. So i immediatly called skunk2 and sent them in the pics. They thank you lord handled me well they warrented it. They are sending me a throttle body, new valves, headgasket, and as labot to have my engine rebuilt lets just say that got worked out. ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT SKUNK2 IS THAT THEY ARE A GREAT STAFF AND REALLY HELPED ME GET THROUGH THIS MESS THANK YOU SKUNK2 JOE & JIM YOU GUYS ARE GREAT AND THANKS FOR STANDING BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS!! FROM ME.

for skunk. Even though you going to have more downtime, at least they care about their customers.

Great to hear that they are covering the damage!

Too bad it happened though. Guess QC was down that day.

Its normal to have a defect once in a while but for Skunk2 to step up like this is outstanding.

YEah im amazed by the customer service. I wish everything was like this in the industy. I cant imagine how it would feel to have something go terribly wrong right when u finish ur build and go for tuning.

I had an 'incident' as well with one of Skunk2's products.

Did the same thing. Showed them the pictures, and they covered me under warranty.
