Default My rusted Coated AN-R header

I am really pleased with this header in performance wise. but. it's starting to rust
i have had this header for little over a year now. and caR was stored in winter.. so. i can say there's no salt sitting there for sure.
i dont know how long it will hold up. is there anything that i can do to prevent this to have more rust?
let the picture do the rest.

well...mine rusted too...but, i'd not worry about the rust as much as i'd worry about it falling the expletive apart. mine cracked many times....broke in half on rlz's old n/a car...and is now on another comp4 car, that i'm sure will break on as well. all the other lcoals with them have had many issues too. casey's (that's his s/n) fell in half on his car

The areas that are rusting are from overly thin application. To repair it you would need to redo the coating.

what is the idea of a partially welding slip fit collector? seems pointless since you dont have the flexibility of a slip fit or the absolute seal and economy of a weld.

Buy a stainless ceremic coated header next time. Mild steel will rust no matter what. A product of combustion is water so you do the math.

I'm guessing you've never seen water come out of the tailpipe of a car before?

C8H18 + 12.5 O2 --> 8 CO2 + 9 H2O ....... in it's most basic form.
