Hard to predict at this stage, dyno's in Australia appear to read heaps lower to the ones i see on this forum. Anything above 150KW (200HP) ill be very happy with.

Looks like a very nice setup. I have some questions, tho': what are you tuning with, are those JUN Stg. 3's, are you still running balance shafts and finally, your thaughts on those pistons? They seem to have sharp corners; not deburred when Cosworth were done machining them? To you think this could pose a problem with regard to hotspots or will they work the same? Also, is their material and rings guaranteed compatible with the fiber reinforced metal sleeves?

I have had these pistons in my posession for quite sometime and yes I have done lots of research regarding FRM sleeves on the H22A. However after discussions with JUN via email they have told me that their piston is compatible with FRM sleeves so I am going to take their word for it.

I havent had a chance to sand down the sharp edges the motor was put together during this weekend. Once I clay the motor and get the piston to valve clearances but yes I will sand deburr those sharp edges.

As for tuning I will be using a CROME/Hondata variant developed by a person known as PROECU in Australia.

As for the balance shafts, I will be running them with my setup

Ryu, it seems your compression ratio is going to be in the range of 12.5 to 12.8....what octane petrol do you have in Australia? Nice build....good luck

Why do you say that?

Corey was over 232whp at 7400 with his H1 build and that was only Type S pistons, a H2 valve job, ITR TB and Euro IM.

We have your regular Unleaded thats 91 then you have Premium 95 then you have 98 Octane and more recently 100 octane offered by shell although it does have 5% ethanol in it

Im not aiming anything too high as yet... but it would be nice to get a time like that... As for cost its taken me a few years to reach where I am... Started with a good deal on teh JUN parts, $6K AUS for Pistons/Cams/Cam Gears/DualSprings/Light Flywheel Euro R manifold but i only paid $3K half was paid by the previous shop i worked for...

The list grew bigger from there, $4K to restore the body + ITR conversion parts I already had

Eagle Rods $350USD
Supertech Retainers/Valves ~$300USD
Greddy Timing Belt ~$135USD
OEM Honda Parts ~$1500USD belts, gaskit kits, bearings, water pump, door seals etc..
Walbro Fuel Pump ~$100USD
ITB's $2000AUS

H22A Motor(s) i got 2 motors for $2800AUS sold the the other one to cover my cost...

Other costs would be the 5 lug, JDM ITR Wheels, carbon bonnet, cat back system.. but yes hell of a lot spent... But working on other ppls cars has provided the finance to get this car to where it is now...

Ryu, tune is going to be critical, but you have decent petrol so you should be all right. I think 250 to 260 is not unreasonable for your setup. Cool...keep us informed.
