Default Brake Boosters, Master Cylinders, what fits, what doesnt, ABS REMOVAL *pictures*

Ive seen quite a few questions on the Integra forum that pertain to Master Cylinders, Brake Boosters, and ABS removal/conversion.

Just to centralize everybodys questions, I decided to do a little homework for everyone, including myself.

Here are some pictures I took today:

This is an RS Master Cylinder 15/16"

This is a 1995 GSR Master Cylinder and Brake Booster

This is a later style Integra MC 99+ (yes, all Integras including ITR) on the left side compared to the RS Master Cylinder which is on the right.

See the difference? None of the hard lines will work if you are converting to NON-ABS You have to use the Integra RS front lines if you want everything to bolt on and use factory parts. Another option is to utilize stainless flexible lines from the MC to the prop valve which I do not have information on. I know people do this around here but I have no personal experience doing so.

This is an aftermarket MC but this I believe represents the 1"

This is a picture of my firewall using ALL Integra RS components which include:

1) all 4 front brake lines
2) Integra RS 4040 Proportioning valve

If you see towards the right of the picture that the 2 pipes end up on the drivers side.

Can I use an Integra RS Master Cylinder on a GSR brake booster?

No. You cannot. I was guessing yes but I remember now that the bolt pattern of the MC's and BB's do not match up.

What parts are involved to convert my ABS Integra to a NON-ABS vehicle?

1) 4 front brake lines
2) Integra RS prop valve stamped "4040" (I believe another vehicle uses this but I know it has to be stamped "4040")
3) Integra RS BB and MC 15/16"

BTW, I am selling ALL 4 front lines, Integra RS MC w/ reservoir.

Hope this helps you all.

Great info. I was thinking about doing this since my ABS isn't working right now, but I might just not do anything since this conversion looks to be a fair amount of money.

BTW the 99-00 Si uses a 4040 prop valve, as all those cars had 4-wheel disc, but none had ABS.

it has probably been covered but wouldnt the 1" be better than the 15/16? If so why would people want the 15/16?

Do all 90-93 Integras have 40/40 non-abs prop valves, or did some have drums and/or abs?

all 90-93 integras came with ABS except the RS, and none of them came with drums.

On a 98+ LS/GSR/ITR Integra all you need is 4 hard lines from a 98 RS Integra and a prop valve from a 99-00 SI or 98 RS Integra.

You dont need to change out the booster or MC, you can keep your old parts.

If you use Integra RS lines you will run into a problem using a 98+ Integra MC?

I dont know if the RS MC is the same as the GSR/ITR/LS MC, but they have the same pattern and size ports for the lines.

These are the parts I used to removal the ABS system in my 2001 GSR.

(1) 99-00 Civic SI Prop Valve
(1) 46310-ST7-A11 PIPE A, BRAKE
(1) 46320-ST7-A11 PIPE B, BRAKE
(1) 46321-ST7-A11 PIPE H, BRAKE
(1) 46360-ST7-A11 PIPE F, BRAKE

Some pics from when I did it. I have the engine out now so I can take more pics if anyone needs.

New lines and prop valve

All installed

RS and 98+ ITR/LS/GSR MC's are different. They maybe the same port fitting but the port location is in a different location.

The 98 RS MC has the same port locations as the 98+ ITR/GSR/LS MC.

The 98 RS Integra uses different parts than the 94-97 RS.

I am talking only about the 98 RS, not older years.

This picture shows my 2001 GSR booster and MC bolted up to 98+ RS hardlines. I didnt have to bend any lines to fit.

I just did an ABS delete on my 96 GS-R using my GSR Master Cylinder and Brake Booster.

Here's the parts I used:
94-97 Integra RS Prop Valve
2 Hard Lines from 94-97 Integra RS (Pipe A and F)
2 Custom Stainless Steel lines to run from MC to Prop Valve

All together it was less than $200.
