i replaced the axle seal but i cant find the old seal that i replace that is the other side but im sure i put the seal seems bottom out near the sealer

i tried and tried again i inspected the splined hole the diameter seems exact as the hole and feels the outer part cant go in all the way always seem to rest like this as is...
