Default Body work first timer here

Okay, so, i have a 2000 civic ex coupe. i recently got in a wreck that wasn't my fault and the front right quarter panel is dented, and the passenger mirror is taken off. Im getting about $1400 from insurance, but i get to use the money how i please. I can do some work, possibly installing the new quarter panel, and i have two new mirrors on the way. I wanna get the most bang for my buck, the car can drive fine right now and no suspension damage, so i can work on this for a while and still have a drivable car.

Here are my goals:
1. Replace quarter panel - Price:$$$ (unsure because i dont know if the 96-99 will fit.
2. Mirrors - Price:$60 with shipping included M3 style
3. Fix little dings on the body, scrape on the door where the quarter panel meets it.
4. repaint whole car black. and i want a decent paint job.

I think this is a thread where i would just like some input from you guys, i wanna know what you think and how i could best spend this money to get my car lookin snazzy again. Its silver, but i wanted to go black :D

Thanks in advance.

-If you are new to bodywork, replacing your quarter panel is going to be near impossible without some kind of professional help.

-Stick with stock mirrors out of a junkyard...they'll be OEM quality and fit and will most likely be cheaper.

-A good paintjob usually goes for around $1000+ unless you spray the vehicle yourself.

not putting your ideas down just letting you know what your kinda getting into.

Take some pics. How bad is the quarter panel? Youd be surprised what people can fix these days. Itd have to be pretty bad to need a replacement.

By Front quarter panel i think he means Fender.
.

If you mean fender 99-00 will fit. the 96-98 will be different and your headlight wont fit properly.

In for pics. If it is the fender then hes good. But if its the QP hes **** outta luck. Theres time involved there. Ive done to many too count and they suck. This doesnt look like its gonna be a good outcome

a big price diff to lol even if he was brave enough to take it on himself.http://www.hondapartsunlimited.com/i...=OUTER%20PANEL
An entire panel would be less work body wise than a patch panel but still involves welding skils Atleast with the outer panel replacement you can cover the welds some what. but thats a good chunck of change plus if it damaged the inner panel also then tahts another chunk of change
