Default New to autocross

Hey guys!

I will be attending my first autocross event here in San Antonio, TX on January 16th. I am also kind of new in the area and was wondering if any of you here are from SA and are familiar with SASCA.

I drive a 01 Prelude Base with auto tranny, neuspeed lowering springs(with stock struts), Apexi N1 exhaust, and some Rota Slips wrapped with some Kumho tires.

With all the info provided, will my car be just ok to autocross? I am not trying to win anything for now just want to have fun that's all

Thanks.

it all depends on you. your car isn't the best, but you can overcome that with good gas control and good exit speeds.

step up to the SH model when you want to win some races

if this is his first time autocrossing, he can learn more on his current tires than he ever will with better tires. stick with those kumhos.

Your right, what I SHOULD have said was get a spare set. Especially if it's his DD. The first time I did a togue run @ mt. rainer (in summer tires, not sticky) I pretty much killed about 40% of the thread going ludacris speed.

i meant for the course...at least half the season. sticky tires won't allow him to learn the tools he needs to handle his car correctly. once he learns, by all means get some stickies.
