Hi, im super new, and have no idea what im doing. i own a 95 DX coupe. this is my car btw
i want to get a set of wheels and just want to know what i should be aware of, what i should do before i get wheels, and what ill need to know. again, i have no idea what im doing and i am just looking to help the car look a bit better.
(everything is completely stock btw, absolutely no aftermarket parts as of now)
I personally love Mugen wheels. They are a very OEM Plus type design in most cases and are also designed for Honda specifically. It depends on which direction you want to go, but I am a firm believer in the "OEM Plus" route. Keep the car as stock as possible and put nice wheels and tires on it. Other than Mugen products, I personally try to only use genuine Honda parts. There are many Mugen and official Honda wheels that would look great on your car. In most cases I like to go maybe an 1" larger wheel size but overall try to keep the outside tire diameter as close to factory spec as possible when choosing a tire.
I have purchased multiple sets of Mugen wheels off eBay and have never had a problem. I have also bought a set from a Honda-Tech member! You can always check craigslist and FB for deals as well. Mugen or Bust! Good luck!
I wanted to come back and show what Ive decided on for wheels!
A beautiful, fully chrome set of Work Meister CR01s. Ill be getting them in 14x6.5. An EF hatch I saw had a similar setup and I thought it looked perfect. I hope they look as good as I'm thinking!
