Wheel Size/Width Question...
Alright.. ive been debating whether or not to stay on Stock GSR Blades 15x6 or getting aftermarket wheels in.. lets say 15x7..
15x6 vs 15x7
Either way i was going to get a set of the new azenis, but my question is:
Is there a performance gain with the extra inch in width?
If so, is it a big gain? Is it noticeable?
Thats all, thanks alot guys.
Lets here what you all think.

Honestly man, you aren't gonna notice **** in changing wheel sizes. Unless you're doing timed lapd every weekend you won't notice a difference. As for the Azenis comment......the Falken Azenis gets my vote for the most plaid out, the most hype piece of garbage for the year of 04. All it took was for one person to who had a clean car to run them and it was all down hill from there. They do look cool, and they are inexpensive, and Lee Randle or Jay Smith runs them so they must be cool.
I am speaking from 9 years of professional experience, and I have never driven on a more poor quality tire than the Azenis. The ride is rough, the traction is medium, the noise sounds like a mud bogger, and the wet traction feels worse than a damn drag radial in the rain. I drove on them for about 250 miles before I gave up on them. For the same price, the Toyo Proxes 4's are the best budget tire in the world as far as I'm concerened. Better than the Yoko ES100's, better than any damn Nitto. If you are just asking about everyday driving, you will not notice a difference in handling, but do myself and you a favor and don't buy the Azenis and fall for all the hype around that tire, you'll hate it.

rofl where did this guy come from? so f'ing off the wall... dont listen to anything he just said.
yes, you'll notice a difference between 15x6 and 15x7, much sharper turn-in.... i'd highly recommend it.
as far as the azenis go, they are a great tire. they are about as close to an r-compound as you're going to get with a street tire. the grip cannot be matched for under $100 (except by maybe the new hankook). along with grip, you get low treadlife, that is a given with any tire, not just the azenis. noise? only at low tread, and who the hell cares? most of the people on this board have exhausts that are far louder. wet grip? superb as long as you're not driving through puddles.
<--- thinks clean rice fell off his rocker.
my azenis have ~15000 street miles on them, ~500 track miles, and ~50 autocross runs. they are just now getting down the the wear bars, but not there yet. i couldn't be more pleased with how they've held up.

Mike C: Thanks Alot! Im not really intending on road racing or anything, just some weekend dragracing and everyday driving.
So basically its drag racing, would the 15x7 help alot more than stock gsr blades?
Plus, i wanted to stay sleeperish wit da blades.
Thanks Again!

Are you KIDDING me!? This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen anyone post on H-T. The Azenis handles worse in the wet than my stock 175-65-14 Firestones! SERIOUSLY Mike, you must be used to driving on some **** tires if you call the Azenis a good handling wet traction tire. Is Mike C speaking from 9 years experience in the tire buisness.....no. Man, Mike.....you need to pick your battles, and this was DEFINETLY not one to pick, stick to something you know better.
