Saw these on craigslist. Thought they might not be too bad if painted or something.

$40 obo.

"I have a set of used rims for sale asking $40 cash.
They came off a Honda.
bolts are 5"
rim width 6"

diameter of the rim from bead to bead it is 14"
overall it is about 15 1/2"

 

Its hard to see what is stamped on the backside of the wheel, but they look a lot like old Prime, American Racing, Enkei, or Centerline wheel.

 

Hmm, I'll see if I can get ahold of them and see what that stamp is. If they are indeed something like that, definitely worth the $40 obo?

 

I'd guess American Racing given how the centercap get attached with the smaller screws around the perimeter of the centerbore. If they were cleaned up and painted, you could make some decent money (assuming they are not bent / out of round). It would probably cost more than $ 40 to have the wheels checked to make sure they are good.....

 

To be honest, a 14x5 (6" outer width wheels are only 5" effective width) wheel really isn't worth much to a performance enthusiast. If you like the design, then the cost is what you make of it. I wouldn't bother with that small of a wheel, though.

And, you never want to media blast an alloy if you can avoid it, as it weakens the metallurgical composition of the alloy.
