Default Tire installation

I just bought a set of new tires for my 03 Accord Coupe. How much should I expect to pay for someone to mount and balance them? I called a local Merchant's Tire Center and they said $29.99 per tire! Is it me, or is that expensive?

I got all 4 of mine done for $55 total for moutning and balencing. This did not include the fee to throw out the old tires as I left them on the steelies and had the new tires put on my rims.

So yea shop around some. The place that did it for me was a small single shop place, not a chain store or nothing like Pep-Boys so you might have more luck at a smaller shop.

Thanks guys. I went to Shell Gas station near my house and they charged me $20 for mounting and balancing. Dude over the phone said it would be 14-15 bucks, but he probably implied that I would by their tires. Still not bad.
