test fitment
i have a 90 si hatch. and was planning to get some 15x8 also considering 16x8 both offset 0 , but not sure if that would rub the wheel well or would be sticking out like low rider status... if any has a pix that would help as well thanks .
Is this for street driving? (vs track or dragstrip or autocross)
For street driving, those sizes are MUCH too wide for your car. And the proper size tires for your car won't be able to be mounted on those overwide wheels. Yes, they will make it look like a low rider. Rubbing depends not only on the size of the wheel, but also on the size of the tire, which you didn't mention.
If you want 15" wheels, get 15x6 wheels with 195/50-15 tires. If you want 16" wheels, get 16x7 wheels with 205/40-16 tires. These sizes will maintain the accuracy of your speedometer and odometer, and shouldn't rub.
