rim offset
Im thinking about buying a set of axis og san which are 15x8 with +25 offset but im worried they will not fit my 96 civic 4dr right. I like the idea of offsets but have never had any so definitly need some help and advice on how to tuck if i can and what to make sure its still functional as an everyday driver.
The problem with wheels like that is tire sizing. Most tires that fit your car wont fit those wheels. You should pick tires first, then find wheels that they will fit on. There is a good selection of summer tires in 205/50/15.
i really want these rims ive did some research and pretty much any tire will fit from 195 50 up
You will get quite a bit of stretch running a 195/50/15 on an 8" wide wheel.
Also, a +25 offset on an 8" wide wheel on a Civic will never equate to tucking. If you want to tuck, you need a more narrow wheel with a higher offset.
You can tuck or you can poke. One or the other.

The reason is, those rims are just too wide for the tires. "Stretching" tires onto rims that are too wide is UNSAFE because excessive stress and heat can build up in the sidewalls, and this can lead to tire failure (blowouts and/or popping the bead). It happens, and this is why most knowledgeable tire shops refuse to mount tires onto rims that are too wide.
If your '96 Civic Sedan is a DX model, the best 15" tire size is 195/50-15; otherwise, it's 195/55-15 or 205/50-15. Either way, get wheels that are no wider than 15x7 if you want to avoid problems with your tires.
I've seen people doing a lot of stupid things with tires - using tires that are bald, using tires that are mismatched, etc. You've found photos of people who are using the tire sizes on rims that are too wide, people who are taking significant risks of tire failure. Great! Are you willing to take those risks too? How are you going to feel if you get the wrong rims for your tires, and then you have a tire failure that results in an accident? Will you regret your decision? Hey, it's your car, and you can do anything you want with it - even something unsafe. But I sure wouldn't.
I would take nsx's advice he is one of the only people on this site that gives advice based solely on facts and not preference or opinion.I also agree a 195 will be stretched quite a bit on a 8 inch wide wheel?
None. Get wheels that fit your car and fit the tires your car needs. Which means, not these overwide 15x8 wheels.
If you are considering some other wheels, tell us about them, as well as give us more information, and we'll be happy to make a recommendation. What information? Stickied at the top of this forum is a topic:

Which tires should I get?
This depends on what you're looking to get out of the tire. If you're still not sure what to get after reading the above information , make a new topic and tell us what you intend to use it for. In that topic, make sure to answer the following questions:
- What kind of car you have (year, model, version)
- What size wheels you have
- How the tires will be used (daily driving, auto cross/track/drag strip)
- What kind of weather the tires will be used in (dry, rain, snow)
- What your preferences is in the trade-off between value (low purchase price and/or long tread life) vs performance

However, I can't find any other tires in that size.
not that i dont appreciate the other advice but im pretty dead set on getting these wheels they are awesome. I just need to find out what to run on them ik ive seen a bunch of people on here with the same rims but they say ther're running 195 0r 205 but seems like these rims are highly not recommended.
Yes, those can be mounted on 15x8 rims. They may or may not rub on turns, due to the width rather than the outer diameter. Also, although those supersticky tires may be fine for autocross and racetrack use, not everyone may want their high price and short treadlife if they're being used for daily driving.
