Default Oh No, Project kICs!!

this past week i had my car detailed for the first time. if only i had known that it was gonna be like this i would've taken my lugs off. after the detail guy got done washing my car, he was getting ready to wax and buff etc...i walked out from my house and take a look, omg, i couldn't believe my eyes! the color of the caliber 24 were gone! it turned out silver! i just didn't know who to get mad at? the detail guy? project kics? or who?? the detail guy got another 2-3 hours to work on my car, i don't want him to think that it's his fault or want him to feel bad. i'm sittin there dying inside biting my teeth.

what would you guys do if you were in my situation? is $170 going down the drain? would you contact the person or company you bought it from?

also you think Enkei RPF1 paint would peel also? the color on the valve stems were almost gone.

It is the detailer's fault in my opinion if he knew there were anodized parts (the valve stems?) and he used a harsh wheel cleaner anyway. It would have been hard for him to predict that it would damage the coating on the nuts though.

imo its ur fault. if you have nice lug nuts, rims, hood, stickers, etc then why would you let anyone wash it except you.

dam....terrible, but one more reason to detail your own car, I have seen and heard too many horror stories to ever take a custom to get detailed, most detailers are used to oem cars, and detailers that specialize in show cars/customs are not cheap, but they know how to handle delicate finishes.
