Default Lug pattern & offset for 91' CRX

o.k. I searched in the CRX forum and here under every possible combination of words I could think of. I have some sub-zeros (4 x 100-15" x 7"- 40mm offset) on my 2000 Civic EX. I want to take the wheels off of that and put them on the rex. Will it work? Also, I had my Civic at the dealership a couple of months ago for them to fix a brake job gone bad (done by them originally) They said I should have hub-centric rings on there, but didn't know if it was necessary. Thanks for helping a wheel noob out

Well, I switched the wheels and tires from my 91' CRX Si (OEM wheels) and put them on my 00' Civic EX last night and vice versa. I had 15" Subzeros on the Civic. I just went to test drive them and there was a metal grinding noise coming from both cars. The Subzeros are a lot more open and I could see that the caliper was grinding away on four or five little "tabs that are on the inside of the wheel. On the Si wheels I assume it's doing the same thing...I just can't see it. Do I need spacers for these wheels? I need to drive to work tomorrow so I need to drive one of them. Any suggestions?

I'm guessing the "tabs" you are referring to are acutally the stick-on wheel weights used to balance the wheel/tire assembly. This isn't actually part of the wheel, you can just take it to a wheel shop and have them remove them and rebalance it, but tell them to put the weights outside the area of interference.

Strange though, assuming you have stock CRX-Si brakes and went to a slightly larger wheel, there should be more clearance... Did the last place double stack the weights or something?

It definitely isn't a weight...I'm not that big of a wheel noob It is part of the wheel itself. I'll take a picture tomorrow morning to help explain. I figured if I had any problems at all it would have been putting the Si wheels on my Civic. The "tabs" as I descibed them are only sticking less than a 1/4".

Yes, I would have thought if there were any fitment issues that it would be the other way around too. I'm curious to see the pic, I have one Sub-Zero (this is the CP-035 clone right?) that I use for a full size spare. Its 15x6.5 +40, so other than the quarter inch inside/outside difference it should be the same as you. Unless Rota changed something on the internal wheel design... I even use the Fastbrakes 11" Wilwood kit in the front and there's no interference.
