Low rolling resistant tires?
Are low rolling resistant tires worth the extra cost on a normal gasoline motor? Or are they more beneficial for hybrids or electric cars? I'm trying to get the most fuel economy out of my car.
I'm looking to purchase a new set of tires for my daily driver (97 GSR) lots of highway driving. Would like to mainstain the OEM tire size 195/55/15.
I am torn between the Kumho Escta ASX (UTQG 420) which tire rack has for $70/tire and the new Kumho Ecowing All Season KH30(low rolling resistant) (UTQG 440) for $80/tire
Here in Central Cali we see hot dry summers and wet winters. No snow at my elevation but we do see ocassional sub freezing temps and hails.
