I recently bought a CRX with a set of PRIME wheels. Only one of the wheels came with a hubcap, but I don't have the key to it. The place on the wheel where the key goes looks like a 6 pointed star with rounded points with a raised bump in the middle. Where can I get one of these keys? The car isn't running so I can't just drive it to a tire place.

 

Torx is the name of 6-point female-style bolts.

 

Will torx work on rounded points? I have some torx wrenches but they have sharp points. My torx wrenches also won't fit in because of the raised bump in the middle. Should I just drill a hole into my wrench?

 

Sounds like what you need is a "tamper resistant" or "security" torx bit.

So I looked at the hubcap again and realized that its a 5 pointed star with a bump in the middle. So is there something like a Security Torx but with 5 points?

I might just take a drill to this and drill straight through the lock because I need to get the wheel off and I don't have the other 3 hubcaps anyways...

EDIT: Just noticed that the second post by TunerN00b has 5 pointed stars. Are those still called Torx?
