Hey everyone, I am a little confused about all the numbers that describ a tire.

For examble

215/40/16 What does each part mean? I know the last numbers mean its for a 16 in rim/Diameter. But what do the first two mean?

I am also considering Kumho MX's. What do you guys think about those?

 

215 = width
40 = height
16 = rim diameter mounting size

 

what does this have to do with a 92-00 civic? you know there is a wheel and tire forum right?
