drag radials for vx wheel
i just picked up a pair of vx wheels, they are 13x5 i believe. because these wheels are super light, i want to have the best grip i can get with them using drag radials. these are just experimental so please dont tell me to get slicks.
so far i found this:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...A032R
it comes in either 175/60/13 or 215/50/13. i wanna know if the 215 will be too wode for it, because the 175 does sound weak. or is it?

im debating what tires to buy for my vx rims too!!!
look at it like this--
175/70-13 175mm= 6.9" wide 22.6" tall
175/60-13 175mm= 6.9" wide 21.3" tall
195/60-13 195mm= 7.7" wide 22.2" tall
205/60-13 205mm= 8.1" wide 22.7" tall
215/50-13 215mm= 8.5" wide 21.5" tall
i think the 195/60-13 is the best bet!!! the tire is 7.7" from bead to bead which is gonna be big on the VX rim and its pretty tall at 22.2" and this size is readily available. it is tough to find 13 drag radials. I also do not think anything wider than the 195 is gonna fit or work well on the narrow VX rim.
Look at this comparison:
225/50-15 225mm= 8.9" wide 23.9" tall
195/60-13 195mm= 7.7" wide 22.2" tall
Good luck and let me know what u end up trying out!!

The Yoko AO32R's are not drag radials. They have a hard sidewall and are designed for auto-x/roadracing. I wouldn't waste my money on them. Those prices are comparable to drag radials.
When you decide to get slicks, use the VX's in the rear with 155/80's as skinnies.
