DIY wheel refinish?
well i just picked up a pretty beat up set of fat fives thinking they would make for some awesome daily's, but it didnt last a day before i found myself wanting to clean them up and get them much more presentable.
i saw the how to polish and paint your wheels, but i think i simply need to get keep the color and just get them up to par again. the main thing is that the clear coat is coming off, and there is some curb rash here and there along with some nicks scattered around.
can anybody give me some step-by-step instructions to making them look as close to new as possible?
thanks in advance!

It will be more work then you probably want. But if I were you, you're going to need to sand the clear coat off evenly. you might just end up sanding through the finish also. So if I were you just put some aircraft paint remover on them, get rid of any finish on them, and then just put some polish or respray with some clearcoat. as for the curb rash, I dunno, maybe try to grind it down, or sand it semi even.
