There's a big thread somewhere on HT full of people with these wheels and the sizes they went with.

not sure what their limits are but i made an rt4wd steelie a couple months back that was 15x7 +25 offset. the wheels fit flush but then the car wasnt lowered as much either.

only way u could prolly get away on an even moderately lowered em1(semi tucked tire)w the offset it w/o rolling fenders is to run the wrong tire size like a 195/50 or even 195/45

Don't do things backwards. FIRST decide on what size tires you're going to use. THEN find out what widths of wheels they can be safely used on.

On a '99-00 Civic Si, you should be using 195/55-15 or 205/50-15 tires. 195/55-15 can be mounted on wheels 5.5-7.0 inches wide. 205/50-15 can be mounted on 5.5-7.5.

Yes, it's a bad ride and a REALLY BAD IDEA. Those wheels are too wide for those tires. Using overwide wheels like this is UNSAFE because excessive stress and heat can build up in the sidewalls, leading to a significant risk of tire failure (a blowout, or the tire popping the bead, etc). That's why any competent tire installer will refuse to mount tires on wheels that are too wide. DON'T DO THIS.

But thanks for posting an example of why it's better to first decide what tire size you're going to use, and then find out what width wheels they can be mounted on. Don't find yourself in this guy's position, where he has a combination with a significant risk of tire failure.
