Default Clearance question

I am wondering if I can rock 205/40/16 with 16x8 with 0 offset on a slammed 89 EF sedan. Will it rub when I turn? Do I have to roll or cut my fenders? Or should I just do 20+ offset?
Any info is appreciated.

Without a significant amount of fender work or fender flares, they're not going to clear your arches. You could run a lot of negative camber, but that will have ill effects on your handling and braking.

I'd bet that even at ET20 you should expect a little fender work with the 205
