i just got some white wheels and was wondering how do you guys clean your wheels....besides the normal soap and water. do you guys use some of those wheel cleaner from autozone? some of those stuff say to use on certain type of wheels. i have the buddy club p1 so i want to make sure it doesn't get black before i start washing it.
Clean the wheels off of the car thoroughly (front and back) with diluted simple green. If need be, gradually use a stronger solution. Rinse thoroughly.
Wheels are a whole lot easier to clean if they're consistently cleaned. Invest in soft bristle wheel brushes (for the face and spokes). Luckily, P1's are simple to clean due to their simple design and thin spokes (you can clean the barrels and whatnot even when they're on the car).
From then on, I use dish soap and water with the wheel brushes to clean my wheels.
I'm not really worried about the myth with dish soap and cleaning cars with them as it's just for the wheels. I clean my wheels more ofter, I have more of the dish soap and it's cheaper, so I use it more often.
About every three months or so, I take them off the car and clean them thoroughly.... again.
Others might have different methods to recommend, this is just the way I clean my wheels.

i put wax on the inside of the rim and dont wipe it off so that the brake dust builds on on that and not on the rim itself. As for the outside i like armor all wheel cleaner. Works great, is not too expensive and has gotten really bad grime off of al the wheels ive cleaned. Ive used it on polished GSR fat fives with no clear coat and no paint, Volvo OEM wheels, painted motegi wheels with no adverse effects. What im saying is that ive used it on metal, clear coat and paint and its fine. Get a stiff nylon brush and a long brush to get between the spokes. Never use a scouring pad, ive seem people here use them and then they need to refinish the wheel.

yea i have some of those mothers wheel cleaner that i got from pepboys...it says safe on most wheels but i'm not sure. I used it on SI wheels and didn't have a probolem. but i'm scared of using it on my new buddy club white wheels.
so far i've been just using soap and brush to clean it. but i was just wondering if there was a easier way of just spraying something on to loosen the dust and then just use a little of wiping. but i guess not i'll just wash it often.
