Default Anodized Wheels

What's up everybody. A little while ago I picked up a set of ssr type x's for really cheap from a friend of mine. They were all in pretty good shape except one had HORRIBLE curb rash and it was cracked. I got it repaired but cannot find a wheel shop anywhere that actually knows how to repaint the wheels. I would like to have them all refinished or quite possibly completely polished but everywhere I go they don't know how to work on the anodized finish. Any advice at all would be great. Thanks!

The only way to fix an annodized finish is either to touch it up with touch up paint (will probably look like crap) or have them reannodized. Your best bet is probably to talk to some metal coating shops that would be doing the work, they will be your best source of knowledge.

Cheers.

From my understanding anodizing is almost like a chroming process. It can't just be stripped done and repainted or else I would have done it already. Anyone else got some input on this one.

Keep us posted. I recently got a a pair of Advan SA3R's which I think were powdercoated. The whole rim is black instead of black with an anodized lip. I might try to restore the original finish if possible.
