Default 16s or 17s

I have a 98 integra gsr, looking to upgrade to some silver konig feathers. I'm debating on saving some loot/weight and getting 16s instead of 17s, anyone own either size of this wheel? Personally I think 17s look nice, but haven't really seen feathers on a teg in either size. I'm on the fence about performance too, any input on the handling/ride difference between 16s and 17s? Will I even notice?

I have a 94 Integra gsr. I just got rid of my 17s and got some Konig Heliums with Falken Azenis 215/45/16s. I really like the way my car handles now with the 16s, the better ride, and every little crack in the road doesn't pull my car since I have a little bit more tire now. It's just preference, but I really like how my teg looks with a little less wheel and a little more tire as well. By running the 16s I was also able to run a 215 instead of a 205 width tire. This probably all depends on the offset of your wheels but I have no problems with them rubbing and my car is pretty low. Hope that helps some.

It's mostly a matter of personal preference. You'll be getting either 205/45-16 or 215/45-16 for 16" wheels, 205/40-17 for 17" wheels. The taller sidewall on the 16" means better ride comfort, and less susceptibility of the wheels to damage from potholes. Performance depends more on which tire you choose than on the size you choose.

How succeptable to damage is a lightweight 17 like the feathers? Is a 16 going to hold up that much better? I don't feel like buying a new wheel everytime hit a pot hole.
