Who makes these??
I'm sure we've all made these at one time or another by welding a washer to a tube, but someone has to make them in 1 piece. Anyone have a source for stuff like this?

I have never been able to find them either so they were made from scratch, but I would think it would be called a "standoff", "flanged bushing", or maybe even a "weld nut" if you needed internal threads.

something like this is typically made specifically as part of a weldment by the manufacturer of the assembly. in most cases they are not a standard size as they are required for a specific location that may not work for most other applications. ie: one that works for a strut tower bar may not work for a lower control arm cross brace or a transmission brace or an engine mount. i think to sell these as a product you'd have to offer a lot of different sizes and materials and that is probably part of why they are difficult to find. keeping a diverse inventory of product you sell maybe $20 a month in isn't very good business sense. i rarely use these, so if i require a few, i just make them on the lathe. i can't imagine hundreds of fabricators are needing them. you might have better luck finding a source on pirate4x4 perhaps.
I understand there are a lot of different applications and various sizes, but just like tube adaptors for heim joints and weld in clevis adaptors (which are available in various sizes), there's a need for some of this stuff.
I have a particular project where I need way more than it makes sense to weld up or make on a manual lathe.
SLS, shoot me a quote for qty 100 and qty 500 please, in mild steel. You have my email address.
Thanks
