Default Welding in the engine bay...

what should i set my machine to? i believe its a 200amp miller mig with the gas. i just dont want to burn holes through the metal while im shaving it.

depends on what gauge wire you are using, start from the lowest setting and work your way up. thats how i did mine

Turn it way low, kind of a bitch to do but just do a million little spot welds around the perimeter of the hole towards the center.

Practice on a very thin piece of sheet metal with holes drilled in it!

like stated above deff just crank the amps wayyyy down and see how she does and turn it up a little bit at a time till its good.

but most likely you will have to do a ton of spot welds like ej1 said so you dont build up to much heat in the metal and burn through.

get a scrap piece of copper or aluminum for the holes that you can get to the backside of.
