traction bar

Default traction bar

making some traction bars for my car and friends, what size are the rose joints people use m12 ?

some people call to them as Heim joints or Rod ends, but I believe I seen someone use 5/8's or 3/8s I wanna say 3/8. And I had another question while making the rods that the Heim joints go in instead of using a reverse thread on the one side could the side on the lower control arm be non-adjustable and just put a heim joint on the traction bar itself?

I am going to use 1/2" rod ends.

The one side adjustable rod could be done, I guess. I think you would have a hard time getting the "fixed" joint to still swivel on 2 axes. Up and down having the most movement......I don't even know how much it would move left/right, couldn't be much if it moves at all.

Yeah, I changed my mind I am going to use just left hand thread on it instead. of making it fixed. One more question how much money you guys got wrapped up in your bars?

haha, I have the tubing and plate steel to make brackets and stuff thinking around 100 or so if you had to buy everything.
