Default Which TIG welder?

What would be a good entry-level TIG setup? Looking for something capable of doing mild, stainless, and aluminum. Scratch start capable, but also with a pedal. It doesn't need to be something rediculous...I only want to be able to do automotive type work. So I'm sure 150-180 amps is more than enough. What do you recommend?

Im having the same dilemma. So far new iv looked at the hobart tigmate/miller econotig. Thats about the most I want to spend and I like the idea of a warranty. Anyone have either of these, I know someone mentioned the tigmate in another thread.

Save a little extra money and get a awesome inverted power supply. This is what I have and love it. Only weighs 38 lbs, and doesn't draw more then 30amps at full tilt.

syncrowave 180s weld real nice, id try and shoot for one with a water cooled torch if your doing car work. i personally like the lincoln 350 square wave, the years with digital readout and dials for controll instead of full digital pushbutton. id look on ebay, i seen a few around us with watercoolers for around a grand.

That sounds like a nice deal. Watercooled would be nice just to keep the duty cycle up...Not having to stop if I don't want to sounds nice.
