i have a weldcraft size 17 aircooled torch on my syncrowave 200, and i want to get one that has a shorter body to tungsten length like a size 9 that i use at school on our 250.

what can i switch to?

i have a weldcraft #9 flex head torch, it nice cause you can move the head a bit if you need an extra bit of room.

You should be able to put a #9 on the end of the standard cable...Just pull the handle off and unscrew the fitting.

I have that torch there. Best investment I ever made for the welder aside from the gas lens

basicly you need the whole torch. but not the hose, since your current hose will attach with no problem.

here is a small list. (of what i would get if i were going to buy it again.) i did buy the torch with the flow valve on it... it comes in handy once in awhile, but i doubt id get another one with the valve on body)

from this link

http://arc-zone.com/catalog/we...4_982

parts #'s

1,4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,17,18 21 or 22,24, (17 in 3/32) (18 # 6cup, i belive its the biggest they come then it steps to that huge cup, pictured on the left, the thing is like an 1.25 o.d.)

this will give you a nice variety of cups/ back caps for differant things you might encounter.

another thing that confused me on the picture is #1 and #3 look to be the same, but #3 comes with the white plastic thingy on it... not sure what that is all about, your best bet is to call to find out what all the torch comes with.

the valve just regulates the gas flow at the torch? why would you ever need that?

thanks for the list.

It's designed to be used with someone TIG welding with a machine that doesn't have a built in solenoid.

I might have 3-4 welding helmets this week along with a lincoln 275 tig, miller 180sd and some other little goodies Ill let you know

And they were 50 and 25 ft versions not the cheesy 12 footers
