If you do some research on the pricing of the materials required, you'll see why i don't plan to produce them. There's 8 321 U bends in the runners, 1 2.25" 321 U bend after the collector, a 321 double slip collector, a 321 2.25" to T4 transition at the turbo flange, etc. I would have to charge alot of money to produce these and actually make money on it. I was far from making money on this one! lol </TD></TR></TABLE>

I understand if you dont want to say, but Id like to guess that you would charge somewhere in the area of $1600-1800+ for a manifold like that. Or am I completely off? Im thinking over $1000 just in materials alone

Yeah, there's a bit over $1200 in materials alone! I'd have to get close to $2k to actually profit from it. I'd have to get close to $3k to profit from all the time i've got in this one! lol The customer, a good friend of mine "slowwhiteevo" on here, wanted something custom and i wanted to do it so I gave him a hell of a deal. Custom one off stuff just takes alot of time, which normally costs alot of money.

tony looks good. I'll be doing an evo myself real soon. He's going to use a GT42.
I'll post up pics as well..

I do have one issue on your header though.
Why dump the wastegate back into exhaust? Is he that worried about noise?

The wg routing was half noise and half just wanting a nice clean engine bay and installation. The car sounds so much better with the wg routed through the exhaust! I don't think it'll affect power too much.

Thanks for the props everyone.

I just did an SR20 a few weeks ago and he was really bitchin about the noise his wastegate was making and wanted to dump back into the downpipe. He was making around 480@23psi. He also wanted to turn up the boost and try to crack the 500 mark. So we did and tried too but we could barely make the same power we did before and now we were at 26psi. Overall i think we lost about 30 to the wheels by putting the dump back into the exhaust. Either way the car is still undriveable on the street and at least now it's quiet.

how big was his exhaust system and how far back and what angle did you introduce the wg back in?

3" and it went back into the downpipe much later then turbo. Something like 22~24" later. Angle was a smooth transistion. I thought the same thing. If i would introduce it way later it wouldn't effect it to much but it still did. It's funny the wastegate dump tube is long enough to be an exhaust system...

I'm sure it'll be fine... It's a street car.

I have an issue where everything i do has to be race car ready.
Happens to all my street cars. They eventually become to stupid to drive on the street anymore and they keep getting more and more gutted.

I had routed the wastegate back into the downpipe on this Khiem's Accord

He ended up making 491 whp on 93 oct pump gas at 18 lbs of boost so I am pretty sure it didn't hurt it to much
BTW the wastegate went in at a 30 degree angle and was 9" away from the turbo.
