Default T1 EVO Header

Here's some pics of the EVO header i just finished. Thanks to Casey at Burns for the materials and help in determining the proper runner lengths for this application. The manifold is all 16ga 321 stainless with a double slip collector. The turbo is a T4 GT35R and the stock radiator and fans were retained for cooling reliability.

They're all 20-22" in length, but that doesn't mean that's a universal number. I wouldn't try to build a header for a honda like that w/o talking to the fine people at burns about it first.

This is a t4 with an S compressor cover, so you could fit a pretty big turbo if you wanted to. I haven't tried anything bigger. There's probably room to fit a GT40, but this setup is designed around the 35. I will not be producing these, so it wasn't a concern of mine to see how big i could fit.

You should sel them , or atleast just offer a manifold for them, I will be getting an evo and that manifold setup is the nicest i have ever seen

Well, how much would you be willing to pay for such manifold? If you do some research on the pricing of the materials required, you'll see why i don't plan to produce them. There's 8 321 U bends in the runners, 1 2.25" 321 U bend after the collector, a 321 double slip collector, a 321 2.25" to T4 transition at the turbo flange, etc. I would have to charge alot of money to produce these and actually make money on it. I was far from making money on this one! lol

I dont know what I like more, the manifold or your coated floor

Looks awesome as always man, I loved the guy's responses on EvoM! lol, not a lot of people liked it. I was like WTF, nobody is ever up for a change anymore. if it isnt a buschur or AMS kit then they dont want to see it. Nothing wrong with those systems at all btw.

btw, what size filler do you weld 16 ga with Tony

Yeah, the responses over there were funny. All the 16ga stuff was welded with .035" filler.

Thanks

I've gotta admit, I was once a believer that short simple manifolds were best. I have since done some testing, research, and talked to the right people instead of listening to people who haven't, and realized that there is more to a manifold than short and sweet. We'll see how it performs soon enough.
