I did the exact same thing. Also made a custom bracket to mount my ecu under the climate control box.

Ya, I hear ya. But I know for the Ek's engine harness goes straight to the ecu while EG's connect at both shock towers. This being said, I have already untangled all my underdash harness wires on the passenger side(to lengthen without adding wire). I'll take some pictures once I get my lazy ass outside. I will also need to lengthen my passenger side where it connects to the clips inside by the underdash fuse box. So much of a hassle compared to the EK's. lol

its not 100% finalized yet so the conversion harness is just dangling there.

Question about your bracket..

Can you see the ECU when the dash is all put back together? Any pics of this??
