Default H22A1 - Weld rear motor mount boss onto block

Hi guys - I have a '93 EG hatch stage rally car that has been swapped with an H22A1 out of a '95 Prelude. A few friends and I pulled the drivetrain out last night as the transmission needs to be rebuilt. When I went to remove the rear Hasport motor mount (after the trans mounting bolts had been removed), it just came off in my hand. The boss on the block where the top of the motor mount bolts through had broken off at some point, leaving an open "reverse C". The broken piece is AWOL, unfortunately.

The motor has unknown miles, but seems to run well enough and I really hadn't planned on replacing it...pulling the drivetrain was only supposed to be to remove the trans. Any one seen this before, or have any thoughts on whether this is repairable? The car only has stock-ish levels of horsepower, but stage rally is pretty punishing. Just trying to decide if I spend time trying to get this repaired, or just suck it up and buy a replacement motor and tear this one down for parts.

Thanks...

It can be repaired, but you'll want to get a few quotes of how much it will cost to get it filled and machined, then compare that to how much it'll cost for a replacement block. Maybe get a replacement block, lessening your downtime, and have this one repaired and kept as a spare.
