Hey guys ive searched and im still in a delema. Im going to get a tig all im gonna be doing is intercooler piping, some manifold fabrication and that realy about it. Whats a good miller. We were looking at the syncrowave 200 but some people say this is over kill ???

 

for the money, id go with thermal arc 185tsw i have one of those and a miller 180sd

i like it much better than my miller 180sd and new vs new its cheaper than the miler, 1/6 of the size, and uses less power, inverter for the win.

 

know 2 guys with the thermal and they both love it

 

Yeah i was looking at the thermal arc 185 i believe it was is this the model?

 

people always ask the better welder, but in my opinion an ok welder is just as good as the better one- pending on the operator. people try to tig weld and dont get the basics right. not hating or anything just my opinion.

 

My buddy has a thermal arc 185 and I have a sync 200. I prefer welding aluminum on the thermal arc and stainless on my sync 200. Go figure

 

thermal arc 185 love mine its smaller,cheaper, has more features and runs on less amps then the syncrowave. by far the best bang for the buck

 

Order a TA185 from Indiana Oxygen...they've got 'em on ebay for $1749, and on their website for $1720. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it.
