Default Advice working with polyurethane liquid

Dose anyone have any advice working with polyurethane liquid. I want to learn how to make some Ball joint covers and maybe some other little non suspension stuff. Any advice will help for a first timer.

Ball joint covers? Some things just aren't worth your time and money, man...
